Concrete Arcade Molds

For this project I used rubber molds to cast concrete art forms which I later stacked in various shapes. For the glass arcades I used wax models to cast investment mold materials which I then cast glass into.

The plaster interior came out so that the rubber interior could collapase and be pulled out of the concret form.

I made eight of the rubber molds so that I could make two forms at once. I would alternate between four bay forms and a two and six bay form. Over the course of four days I was able to make all of the concret forms in the middle picture above which stands 8feet tall and is 6 by 5 feet wide.
